Buenos Aires: Saturday

Ok guys, I have been doing this itinerary and I know for a fact that you are not waking up before noon today.

Colonia del Sacramento
If you do though, I would recommend to take the Buquebus and hop over to Uruguay to visit Colonia del Sacramento, a lovely colonial town right by the water and only one hour away from Buenos Aires. You can go in the morning and come back at night. One day is enough to see Colonia, have a lovely lunch in one of the outside restaurants in the historical center and head back to busy Good Airs.

Posada la Vigna

If you want to venture out from Colonia into the countryside you can visit Posada la Vigna. The owners are Argentine. An architect and a psychologist, who left Argentina during the 2001 crisis and decided to open an ecologically friendly ranch with bed & breakfast where you can get much closer to the seamingly more virgin parts of Uruguay and have a delicious parilla with a wine of your choice. Just visit the cellar and choose from a variety of wines from Uruguay and Argentina.

The hosts will make you feel at home and you can see the artistic touch in every part of the house and amenities. They even opened an ecologic Spa and room for practicing yoga and meditation. And if this is not enough, you have a pool with a mini beach right next to it. It’s like a mini island in the middle of the countryside. During the week, they also host a variety of art classes from sewing to pottery design.

They also make their own goat and sheep cheese which you can try as an appetizer coming straight from the oven and from the goats and sheeps you see on the ranch.

As far as activities go, you can choose from biking and horse riding to just relaxing by the pool and enjoying your massage. You will forget about the rest of the world.

Posada la Vigna is about 40kms away from the port of Colonia but if you call to reserve they will arrange for a proper pick-up and drop-off. Here is the contact info:

BA night out...

Ok, by now you already know the drill on the night life. For electronic you have the same choices including Niceto and for a drink before going out you can also try out the Oasis Clubhouse. This is a private clubhouse but on Fridays and Saturdays you can still come for a drink. Good atmosphere, good crowd, and lovely design. This place will be great during the summer.
